Welcome to Koco's Pub, a beloved local gem that has been serving the Baltimore community for over 40 years. Tucked away at 4301 Harford Rd, Baltimore, MD 21214, this cozy establishment stands out for its commitment to quality and its treasured crab cakes, making it a must-visit destination for food enthusiasts and visitors alike.

The moment you step inside Koco's, you're welcomed by a friendly atmosphere that perfectly captures the essence of a neighborhood pub. The walls are adorned with memorabilia, and the lively chatter creates an inviting buzz. It’s the kind of place where locals gather, and the staff treats everyone like family.

Now, let’s dive into what makes Koco's Pub a culinary hotspot! Their crab cakes are the star of the show, and from the raving reviews, they truly live up to the hype. Customers rave about these crabs being filled with “lump, lump” crab meat — no fillers, just pure, succulent crab bliss. As Shanile Shakoor aptly put it, “If you’re ever in Baltimore, MD and looking for a good crab cake, look no further than Koco's Pub.”

Another highlight from the menu includes their raspberry wings, praised by Tysha K for being a delightful mix of sweet and savory. And if you’re in the mood for something classic, you can’t go wrong with their fish and chips, prepared to perfection, as enthusiastically noted by Stanley Blackwell. It’s clear that every dish is crafted with care, making this spot a favorite for both new visitors and returning fans.

Customer service also shines at Koco’s; patrons frequently commend the attentive staff who ensure a pleasant dining experience. As noted by Kate Tuck, while her experience with the crab chowder was delightful, it was the crab cakes that solidified her love for the pub. The overall service is consistently described as timely and friendly, allowing you to indulge in your meal without a worry.

However, like any establishment, it isn't perfect. While many guests are enamored with the crab, some have found the tomato-based crab soup to miss the mark. Yet, with offerings as stellar as the crab cakes, it appears most are more than satisfied with their choice, returning time and again to savor these coastal delights.

Whether you’re dining in-house or opting for carry out, Koco's Pub delivers delicious food that embodies the spirit of Baltimore. So, if you’re in the area or just making the journey into town, make sure to grab a bite at Koco's — you won’t be disappointed!

Definitely the best crab cake I've ever had- and a delicious cream based crab chowder... the loss of a star was for the tomato based crab soup.... less than a teaspoon of crab and it tasted like minestrone soup from a can, lots of beans.

Like most of the reviews, I must agree. One of the best crab cakes Ive ever had in my life. Just straight lumps of crab meat, no fillers. I also had the raspberry wings, a mix of sweet and savory. I love peach wings, so I said what the hell ! They were better than I expected. The service is up to par. Everything came out in a timely manner. The server checked on us and kept our drinks filled. I will return here my next visit !

Ok Baltimore!! If you’re ever in Baltimore, MD and looking for a good crab cake, look no further than Kokos Pub. The crab cakes aren’t just lump…they are “LUMP LUMP”. This small pub is very popular with the locals. They have a full bar and table seating as well. Carry out is available as well mail order. I ordered online and had some cakes sent to Florida. They were delivered fast, fresh and the packaging was very presentable. They also send instructions on how to prepare them. Good atmosphere, friendly service and the quality of food is top tier.

After all these years and living so close, this was my first time trying Koco's. The main reason is I just couldn't see myself paying so much for a crab cake (lol). They are expensive to me for a crab cake but it was a quality crab cake and it was delicious. Lump crab meat and tasty. I also tried the fish and chips and was thoroughly pleased.

This is local neighborhood staple. They have some of the best crab cakes and shrimp salad in Baltimore City. This pub has been open for 40 years and they are family-owned and demonstrate work-life balance to the fullest. Well done Koco's!

First time being here. I have seen this place mentioned numerous times on TikTok and Facebook but never actually made it out here because it was a hike through heavy traffic. But never the less, when the opportunity came, we couldn't pass it up. Yes the traffic there was worse than I imagined. Took over an hour to get there. Let me tell you, that's a long way to drive... for me. When we finally arrived, it was a typical townhouse in the city. The parrot gave me the Jimmy Buffett vibe. We walked in and as a typical townhouse in Baltimore, it isn't that big. The place was long and narrow as you can see in the picture. It was pretty crowded. There was an eclectic and diverse neighborhood of clientele gathered all enjoying themselves. Not an ounce of pretension. People came for the food, company and just fun. Most of the tables were 2 and 4 seaters. There was only 1 six seater so it was good we reserved it for 7 pm. Well actually you can put tables together so I guess you can accommodate even bigger parties too. This is where old people stop using imagination, but I digress. Because of its limited capacity, I am sure they do a lot more carry out than dining in. The service was friendly excellent and fast. It was just nice to relax, drink, and eat. We all loved all aspects of it. Now the reason we went there. It's been awhile since we had some great crab cakes. Wife loves them crab cakes. Me on the other hand, while I do like them, I would not consider myself a connoisseur of it. But I do know what I like. And let me tell you, when I tell you this felt and tasted like all jumbo lump meat, I mean it. I am not sure how they keep it together with so little filling. All I tasted was crabs. I remember when 1 lb container of lump crab meat at Costco was nearly $50, this felt like that. Sitting there tasting nothing but crab and some seasoning. Not a huge salad person but the Caesar salad was huge. I ate half of it but finished the crab cake. Wife ate half her crab cake but finished her salad and finished mine too. She said she was craving salad but I know she was saving that crab cake for tomorrow. And of course she refused to share any. I should have saved some too but didn't have the will power to. Did I mention the beer was so cold and delicious too? It came in a chilled glass so it remained cold and refreshing! Nothing like cold one. Overall, everyone had a great time. Definitely a treat for everyone. Ps: they don't serve dessert but just as well. Had no room left because it was filled with food, beer, fun, good company, and a great time.

It's small, parking isn't great but those crab cakes DO NOT disappoint!!! The drinks were good too. I will be back. I ordered uncooked crab cakes to go and just had one tonight!!! OMG!!! So good. The only thing I was disappointed about was I ordered soup and I didn't get it and I didn't get it but I'm pretty sure I was charged for it. I should've changed better but I was in a crab cake induced food coma and couldn't concentrate when I got the bill. Despite that disappointment I'll be back for sure.
